Meet the B Team
Amy
Pronounced SHEER, which means scissors in German, Amy along with two of her siblings were destined to be hairstylists. A native of South Dakota, mother of three and wife of a musician, Amy has explored several careers including college English teacher, photographer, homeschooler, and most recently hairstylist and salon owner.
Even before embarking on this path, Amy always appreciated a good haircut and sense of style in a man. In 2016, she began school at Headlines Academy–now known at Paul Mitchell The School–in Rapid City, SD and dreamed of one day owning her own men’s salon. While going to school, she attended many outside classes and hair shows. From 2018 to 2019 she worked at a local men’s salon where she did thousands of men’s cuts. She continued her training in men’s hair at several hair shows and in-person classes, and in 2022 studied under renowned barber school owner, Wahl educator and winner of National Association of Hairstylists Award (NAHA) Nieves Almaraz.
Amy has also done women’s hair, with a focus on natural products and colors, and is currently an in-salon product educator for Surface Hair. Future plans include becoming an outside-educator for Surface Hair. She is also certified in treating fine, thinning hair with the Surface Hair Awaken system.
Her knowledge and interest in natural products and hair color as well as a passion for styling men’s hair have led her to B Sharp Cut Co. She provides a stylish cut, quality products, and hospitable environment that keep clients coming back.

Taylar
Taylar is a Rapid City-based stylist who grew up on an outfitting ranch in Wyoming. She attended cosmetology school in Salt Lake City before transferring to Rapid City where she met Amy. She has worked as a stylist in both Wyoming and South Dakota and spent five years working as a cosmetology instructor. She loves doing men’s cuts, especially out-of-the-box cuts, colors, wax and facials.
Her dog Triscuit is her best friend who’s as loud and talkative as her mother. She lives a quiet life in the Black Hills with her partner Chas and chickens and goats. Growing up on a ranch with brothers gives her the ability to hold her own with any guy that sits in her chair.
Taylar

Emily
Emily has been a licensed stylist for over 12 years with 22 years total experience doing proms, weddings and haircuts for friends and family. She has worked in both New York and South Dakota, owned 2 salons and has worked in environments that specialize in men’s hair. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, crafting and refurbishing old furniture. Book your appointment with Emily today!
Kaden
Kaden is our resident barber with over a year experience in the field. His passion for the art of barbering is reflected in his work. When not working Kaden enjoys getting out in nature and enjoying the beauty of the Black Hills. If you’re looking for a straight razor shave or a stylish cut Kaden is your man.
Ella
Please welcome our new barber Ella! A young woman of many talents and passions, this graduate of South Dakota Barber College loves to sing, play guitar, craft, and hike in the beautiful Black Hills. Most importantly, Ella is passionate about giving a good experience when cutting hair, grooming beards and shaving–this comes from her love of meeting new people and boosting their confidence with their new look. We’ve seen her in action and she’s a perfectionist when it comes to hair!
Ella will be in Tuesday-Thursday during the day, as well as Fridays and Saturdays.
